Triumphal arch of entrance to the historic center erected in honor of Cardinal Giulio Della Rovere.
PORTA NOVA - The triumphal arch of the entrance to the Castle was designed by Filippo Terzi. Monumental, sumptuous and elegant, the "Porta Nova" stands majestically on top of the entrance ramp to the ancient walls of this small "Ideal City" of the Renaissance, completely reorganized in urban structure and architectural image by the great architect from 1571, at the behest of the marquis of Barchi Pietro Bonarelli, as if it were a single work of art, enriching it with monuments, of sumptuous buildings and effective military defence solutions.
